ACC/A26T has a requirement to procure a Crystal Rugged brand DAFJWICS Deployment Capability Prototype Kit to support multiple Combat Air Force (CAF) Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) units. The requirement outlines the minimum acceptable performance and software compatible load out requested to support these CAF ISR units. The Enterprise Systems Engineering Team researched hardware vendors and current technologies to meet this requirement. Multiple vendors had hardware capable of minimal performance standards, but only one had expandability and the ability to provide the secure "kill switch" capability to protect/destroy information in event of disaster or a potential compromise by a foreign entity.
