This requirement is for Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts to outfit 12+ existing Polaris (R) MRZR D4 tactical vehicles (MRZR is not an acronym); it is a military designation for the modified commercial RZR utility vehicle. The mission partner requires the listed parts be brand name for Polaris OEM part to maintain existing vehicle warranties. The vehicles that the parts will be added to have existing OEM warranties. Addition of unauthorized modifications will void the warranties associated with these vehicles. It is paramount that these vehicles be maintained in strict accordance with the manufacture’s specifications. The MRZRs are used in support of overseas contingency operations and are part of War Reserve Material (WRM). Furthermore, untested equipment modifications present an unacceptable risk to operating personnel in these austere conditions. BACKGROUND: 16 MRZR were sent to Holloman AFB to support OAW. 12 MRZRs were returned requiring repairs. This purchase is for the parts needed to repair 12 broken MRZRs.
