The government is contemplating a requirement for specialized elevating platform trailers. This sources sought should not be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government pay for any information submitted in response. Respondents will not be notified of the results of any government assessments. No awards will be issued as a result of this Sources Sought. The 18th Contracting Squadron does not intend to award a contract on the basis of responses nor otherwise pay for the preparation of any information submitted. As a result of this Sources Sought the 18th Contracting Squadron may issue a Request for Quote (RFQ). Equipment Description: The platform trailers will need to have the following characteristics: a pintle hitch, hydraulic deck needs to be able to completely lower to the ground, a winch, carrying capacity of at least 8,000 lbs, and a loading surface area of at least 6ft x12 ft. The trailer MUST NOT be classified as a vehicle as defined by 49 CFR 571. Contractor must be able to ship to Kadena AB, Japan directly or provide shipment to the DLA Distribution Facility located in Tracy, CA
