The government has concluded their market research and intends to solicit, negotiate, and award a sole source firm-fixed price (FFP) contract under FAR 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, to MC Machinery Systems, Inc., 85 NW Point Blvd, Elk Grove Village, IL. The proposed North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 811310, size standard is $8,000,000. This contract shall provide the 846th Test Squadron (846 TS) at Holloman AFB, New Mexico with repairs of the Mitsubishi Wire EDM, model number MV4800, SN: 58MV4243 that meets OEM specification. Contract covers all parts, labor, travel and expenses for a period of two years. It also includes one, 2 day Preventive Maintenance (PM) visit each year that does not include travel or expenses. Lastly, contract includes all Platinum Support Contract Benefits for the period of the contract. The anticipated award date is 25 March 2022. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals or quotes. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Although the Government intends to solicit and award a sole source contract under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), all responsible sources may submit a capability statement which will be considered by the Government if received no later than 16 March 2022 at 5:00 PM Central Time.
