GENERAL INFORMATION: The purpose of this acquisition is to procure five (5) handheld electronic explosive detection devices to be used by the 66 Security Forces for Entry Control Explosion Detection to prevent explosives from infiltrating into the installation. Device must be digital, electronic, rapid, Bluetooth enabled. The Device must provide a printout to be used in potential criminal cases to aid in prosecution of individuals. 2. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: • Device must be handheld • Durable enough to support 24/7 operations. • Quickly employed, results shown within 1 minute of sampling • Support multiple languages • Must be water resistant and able to withstand austere conditions and weather patterns • Able to detect explosives (both trace elements and large quantities) • Must have full color display • Rechargeable battery 3. The contractor shall provide five (5) electronic handheld explosive detection devices with the following capabilities: • Explosive Detection: detect explosives, both trace and large quantities • Rugged: provide protection of the electronic contents. Must be resistant to water during outdoor operation • User Friendly: small, lightweight, portable, rechargeable, one-handed operation • Self-testing: capable of reporting internal problems • Transferable: information generated from the device must be transferable (printable, Bluetooth ready, wireless, etc.) • High Storage Capacity: capable of maintaining over 10,000 inspections b. The contractor shall provide case to house electronic handheld explosive detection device. Case must provide extra protection from damage. 5. DELIVERABLES: The contractor shall provide the following: a. Handheld electronic explosive detection devices; Quantity: FIVE (5) b. Applicable cases; Quantity: FIVE (5) c.
