This is for market survey only; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. No proposals are being requested or accepted with this synopsis and no contract shall be awarded from this synopsis. The U.S. Air Force, Grand Forks Air Force Base (GFAFB), has been tasked to identify potential sources, market capabilities and market conditions that has the capability to fulfill a requirement at Grand Forks AFB, ND. The requirement is as follows: The contractor shall provide all personnel, layout design, parts, programming, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and services necessary to perform installation, troubleshooting, and testing of wide area detection equipment necessary for this operation. The Contractor shall comply with manufacturer’s maintenance/inspection specifications and all the standards in the contract as well as all local, state, and federal regulations. The Contractor shall be required to acquire and maintain a Favorable IT-2 Investigation. This contract will consist of a base and four option years. The contractor is to perform system maintenance, software upgrades, and troubleshooting on the SENTINEL SECURITY SYSTEM. Due to the closed security system, computer software/hardware updates will also be required each visit. The system installed at Grand Forks AFB operates on the ARA Sentinel Security System Command and Control Software. Troubleshooting will be performed either on-site or by telephone with the Electronic Security Systems (ESS) Program Manager. If telephone troubleshooting fails, an on-site service call will be initiated. The North American Industry Classification System is 561621-Alarm System Monitoring Services. Reimbursements will not be made for any cost associated with providing information in response to the sources sought or any follow-up information request. The purpose of this source sought is to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities and qualifications of members of both the Small Business Community, to include Section 8(a), Historically Underutilizes Business Zones (HUBZone), Service Disabled Veterans-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), and Economically Disadvantaged Women Owned Small Business’s (EDWOSB) to compete for this requirement. Any information received will be reviewed for informational purposes. The type of solicitation to be issued will depend upon the responses to this sources sought synopsis. The Government must determine and ensure there is adequate competition among the potential pool of interested, capable commercial companies.
