Commander, Fleet Readiness Centers (COMFRC) intends to negotiate a level of effort increase to the current five-year ordering period of contract N61340-19-D-0006 on a non-competitive basis with Andromeda Systems, Inc. (ASI) Virginia Beach, VA in support of Fleet Readiness Center Southeast (FRCSE) NAS Jacksonville, FL. The purpose of the LOE increase is to ensure continued engineering services support for FRCSE while the COMFRC Logistics and Engineering “LOGEN” follow on support contract can be awarded via pending RFP N68520-22-R-0001. This synopsis is for informational purposes only. The Government intends to procure the above requirement under the statutory authority 10 USC 2304 (C)(1) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, “Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.” ASI, Inc. is considered the only source for this requirement as the incumbent contractor providing engineering services support for FRCSE. This firm has the requisite knowledge and specialized engineering capability, resources, technical data, and qualified personnel to satisfy the Government's requirement within the timeframe required.
