COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICIATION ‘COMBO’: Cryotech E36 Potassium Acetate Purchase Order Description: This requirement is solicited as brand name only The United States Air Force, Joint Base Elmendorf Richardson (JBER), requires Cryotech E36 Potassium Acetate for airfield deicing operations. This requirement is for 20,000 gallons to be delivered no later than 1 December 2021 to JBER (Anchorage), Alaska. Deicing/Anti-icing Fluid for Runways and Taxiways, 50% aqueous potassium acetate solution, by weight, plus corrosion inhibitors. Must be certified to meet the requirements set by SAE AMS 1435D, “Liquid Runway Deicing/Anit-Icing Product.” Clear, mobile liquid, free from matter in suspension. Density at 68 °F = 11 lbs/gallon maximum. Viscosity at 68°F = 10 cp maximum. Flash Point at 32°F = 20 cp maximum. Freezing Point = -76°F or colder. The United States Air Force is searching for firms who can provide the following: Cryotech E-36 Deicier. The quantity would be around 1 million gallons over a span of 5 years. As part of its market research, USAF is issuing this Sources Sought to determine if there exist an adequate number of qualified interested contractors capable of providing the requirement. The Government may use the responses to this Sources Sought for information and planning purposes. This Sources Sought is only for the purpose of identifying potential sources as part of USAF's market research. No Request For Quote (RFQ) exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the RFQ. Responses to this Sources Sought are not quotes on which USAF can issue any contract. This Sources Sought is issued for information and planning purposes only and does not itself constitute a RFQ. The Government does not intend to award a contract or BPAs based only on responses to this Sources Sought. All information received in response to this Sources Sought marked "Proprietary" will be protected and handled accordingly.
