The government intends to aquire a remanufactured long block engine compatable with a 2011 Freight-liner M2 106. 6 Cylinders 8.3L Turbo Diesel OHV 504 CID long block vac-con engine replacement should include the following: -Block -Camshaft -Camshaft followers (New pins/rollers) -Complete gasket kit -Crankshaft -Head -Pistons -Rocker assembly -Rods Recommend line item structure CLIN 0001 engine CLIN 0002 delivery (FOB destination) *Option CLIN 1001 core charge (additional line items as required) *Option CLIN will accomodate vendor's choice in invoicing for the core charge, as opposed to going through the refund process through WAWF. Our objective is to acquire remanufactured engine long block vs organic engine overhaul. The long block that is going to be purchase would save more time, by not having to research every bolts torque specification during rebuild process, oil clearance specs, oil pump gear clearance, valve lash adjustment, valve guide service and resurfacing of the cylinder head to ensure levelness and warpage are within specification. Reduced human error due to technical experience, and not having a controlled environment during assembly.
