General system requirements include: Source new bladder Mobilize crew to BAF w/tools, supplies, replacement bladder and parts Open door to expose door header to gain access to leak area Remove steel flat bar covering seal system Remove beryllium copper (BE-CU) finger stock and wire electromesh Extract bladder from cavity Mark and cut a 4’ section of the bladder and discard Prep ends of existing section and new sections for Install new section into existing section Test for leak Reinstall bladder, finger stock, wire electromesh Reinstall steel bar Return door to close position, latch and seal Monitor the pressure at the pneumatic compressor to confirm no leaks THIS IS A MARKET SURVEY FOR INFORMATION ONLY. THE PURPOSE OF THIS SYNOPSIS IS TO GAIN KNOWLEDGE OF POTENTIALLY QUALIFIED SOURCES AND THEIR SIZE CLASSIFICATIONS (SMALL BUSINESS, LARGE BUSINESS, ETC.). PLEASE DO NOT REQUEST A COPY OF A SOLICITATION, AS ONE DOES NOT EXIST. 1. Purpose. This is a sources sought synopsis in support of Market Research being conducted by the United States Air Force to identify potential sources for repair of the Chamber Door Bladder Leak. 2. Requirement. This acquisition anticipates seeking a contractor who can repair the Chamber Door Bladder Leak at Edwards AFB, CA. Source new bladder Mobilize crew to BAF w/tools, supplies, replacement bladder and parts Open door to expose door header to gain access to leak area Remove steel flat bar covering seal system Remove beryllium copper (BE-CU) finger stock and wire electromesh Extract bladder from cavity Mark and cut a 4’ section of the bladder and discard Prep ends of existing section and new sections for Install new section into existing section Test for leak Reinstall bladder, finger stock, wire electromesh Reinstall steel bar Return door to close position, latch and seal Monitor the pressure at the pneumatic compressor to confirm no leaks 3. Information requested.
