Replace the 5 branch of service emblems and must be evenly spaced between the gl... 1.1 Remove and dispose the current covering and emblems on the top portion of the Memorial Wall (See photo’s provided). Replace the 5 branch of service emblems and must be evenly spaced between the glass panels. (See photo’s provided) 1.2 Remove current and install new updated lighting behind the emblems on top and across the bottom of the wall to LED by a certified electrician, meeting all safety codes. Current light fixtures are approximately 22 inches long. There are currently 6 on the top and 6 on the bottom. Replacements must illuminate both the emblems and panels. 1.3 Prepare the surface of the Memorial to accept the finish. 1.4 Install new surface to the top of the Memorial. Must be similar to the existing finish and approved by AFMAO prior to install (brass or gold). Approximately 18ft long, 22 inches tall in the front and 10 inches in the rear. (See photo’s provided) 1.5 Install new emblems across the front of the Memorial (5 emblems). 13X13 inches round each. Must be similar to the current emblems to include: Army, Marine, Navy, Air Force, Space Force. Must be evenly spaced between glass panels.(See photo’s provided) 1.6 Emblems must be able to be illuminated. (reference 1.2 above) 1.7 A site visit is highly encouraged to ensure the requirements are understood by the potential vendors. The site visit will be conducted 19 July 2022 at 10:00am Eastern time at the Air Force Mortuary Affairs Office on Dover Air Force Base. FAR 52.237-1 Site Visit Offerors are urged and expected to inspect the site where services are to be performed and to satisfy themselves regarding all general and local conditions that may affect the cost of contract performance, to the extent that the information is reasonably obtainable. In no event shall failure to inspect the site constitute grounds for a claim after contract award.
