The fuel support equipment must meet the required maximum dimensions of 42” wide, 46” long, and 31” deep with a maximum weight of 500 pounds to meet the allowed cargo deployment plan. Furthermore, the FSE engine needs to be “multi-grade” to ensure that it will run on jet fuel grades (other than diesel)(JP8, F24, F34, and JP8TS) so that it can operate from the fuel transferring to the aircraft, to minimize additional cargo requirements. In addition, the FSE must be equipped with a Millipore equivalent sample port downstream of the fuel filter elements to test and determine fuel quality. Finally, the FSE must have access to the system piping to drain the fuel from system components and filters to ship and transfer the equipment. Lastly the FSE must be approved for use by AFLCMC and in accordance with TO 00-25-172 and TO 42B-1-1
