THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. THIS A PRELIMINARY MARKET RESEARCH ONLY FOR THE PURPOSE OF IMPROVING THE PERFORMANCE WORK STATEMENT. NOTICE TO INTERESTED PARTIES/SOURCES SOUGHT The US Government intends to solicit quotes for the performance of a firm fixed price contract for vehicle mounted diesel exhaust air filtration systems at Aviano Fire Emergency Department, Aviano AB, Italy. We are seeking 2 filteration system types. One needs to be designed for a standard diesel engine and the other needs to be designed for a diesel engine that uses Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF). **Each system should be mounted on the apparatus and does not directly interfere with the vehicle exhaust system. The systems should have filters that can be changed in-house by fire truck maintenance if a filter is required. Each system should automatically engage without need for operator input when the apparatus starts and when the vehicle is placed in reverse. A switch must also be made available so crews can engage the system while on scene at incidents. The system must also meet or exceed the OSHA Permissible Exposure Limits and NFPA 1500 chapter 10.1.5 requirements. All interested parties are highly encouraged to request clarification or to propose suggestions. Upon review, interested parties are requested to submit their capability package of no more than 15 pages. To improve the understanding of the Government requirements and industry capabilities, interested parties should provide their inputs and availability by email to Lt. Robinzine, Larry (larry.robinzine@us.af.mil)
