PLEASE SEE THE ATTACHMENT This is a sources sought synopsis in support of a market survey being conducted by the 316TH Contracting Squadron, Joint Base Andrews, MD 20762 in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 10, Market Research, to determine interest and capabilities of potential sources to provide; Roll-up Door Replacement. This synopsis is for informational and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation, a synopsis of a solicitation, a commitment on the part of the Government to later publish a solicitation, or ultimately award a contract. The Government will not reimburse the costs of preparing or submitting a response to this synopsis. The intent of this notice is to identify potential offerors to provide: Provide all necessary new material(s), workmanship & 1yr warranty, to replace four (4) existing roll-up garage doors on bldg. 1772, Gulfstream COMBS. The current loading dock doors do not seal properly and allow water intrusion during inclement weather. To fix this, the contractor will remove & install four (4) heavy duty steel, insulated, manual chain operated rolling doors. Provide all supervision, plant labor, transportation, equipment, and materials and perform all necessary engineering and operations to accomplish the following. Furnish and Install: Two (2) 12’-0” x 10’-0” Insulated, Manual Chain Operated Rolling Doors Two (2) 12’-0” x 10’-0” (estimated height) Insulated, Manual Chain Operated Rolling Doors. The two (2) doors located on the east side of the building may be required to be slightly shorter than 10’-0” due to a large sprinkler system line located 11’-8” from the floor, above the door jamb that is not movable. Features will include at a minimum: Doors to have an operational wind load of 20 PSF Slats to be flat, insulated, 24 gauge galvanized steel Bottom bar to have water proof weather seal Face wall mounted Finish to be brown durable top coat Guides to be weather-stripped on both exterior and interior sides Brackets to be minimum 1/4" thick Counterbalance assembly to be engineered for 20,000 cycles minimum Hood to be galvanized steel Operation to be by interior chain hoist All Other Requirements: Existing door(s), jams and applicable items will be taken down, removed from site, and disposed of in accordance with local laws Work shall be completed by a licensed/authorized dealer/installer and not subcontracted to a third party Price shall include a 1yr warranty for materials and workmanship upon date of USG acceptance The door located on the northwest side of the building only has 4.5” of clearance between the left door jamb and a perpendicular interior wall. Wall mounted guide must fit in the available space. Interested sources capable of providing this requirement must respond via e-mail to shakima.slappey@us.af.mil, referencing ROLL0UP DOOR REPLACEMENT no later than 2 SEPTEMBER 2020, at 10AM EST (local time). Interested sources shall indicate whether they are capable of providing the subject requirement, how long after issuance of a purchase order would it take to complete the requirement, and furthermore indicate their size and status (i.e., small business, 8(a), HUBZone, WOSB, SDVOSB, etc.). No other information is required at this time. Based upon the responses received, the Government will determine the set-aside method for the procurement. An award will not be made on offers received in response to this notice. This source sought synopsis is not a Request for Quote (RFQ); it is a market research tool being utilized to determine the availability of sources.
