IAW US Army Public Health Command, Veterinary Corps the 354th Security Forces SQ kennel facility is required to have an isolation kennel to be utilized when a dog becomes ill or returns from deployment. This requirement exists to prevent the spread of any contagious disease/virus. The current facility has no means to isolate the dogs from each other when the need arises. A warm storage garage is needed for the dog trailer. Currently the trailer is stored at a separate facility. In the case of an emergency, the evacuation of the dogs would be hindered greatly due to lack of access to the specified trailer.
