The purpose of this Synopsis of Proposed Contract Action is for information dissemination only. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. This action is intended to be awarded on a sole source basis to Glenair Inc., the pioneer developer of this technology, under the authority of Title 10 U.S.C. 2034 (c)(1) and 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, “Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements”. The contract will be awarded to: Glenair Inc. 1211 Air Way Glendale, California United States 91201-2497 The Government intends conduct this procurement through an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract which will require the production of up to 500 Remote Interface Panels (RIP), 1,100 Remote Interface Panels Devices (RIPD), 120 Docking Stations, and engineering changes and support services. This procurement is a critical element of the Air Force’s modernization efforts, called upon by the F-16 Advanced Combat Fleet initiative and the 2018 National Defense Authorization Act. The contractor shall have the expertise and capabilities to produce the required panels, devices, and docking stations. It is expected that the contractor will also be able to meet the minimum requirements which include, providing hardware deliverables identical to the ones being fielded to ANG and AFRC (ASQ-236 program), meeting the Technology Readiness Level (TRL) of 8 or higher and applicable F-16C/D airworthiness and safety of flight standards and requirements, and delivering required hardware in Nov 2021 to align with OFP fielding.
