Study entitled “Chagas disease and leishmaniasis surveillance in Antioquia”.
This contract requires a 12-month base period of performance with an additional 12-month extension option for providing project management, ethical approvals, sample collection, and laboratory testing services. The work will be performed in Colombia, specifically in Antioquia state (including San Luis, Turbo, Campamento, and Puerto Triunfo) and Puerto Boyacá, with shipments to NAMRU SOUTH in Lima, Peru. The contractor must secure all ethical and regulatory permits, collect and test entomological, animal, and human specimens for Leishmania and Trypanosoma infections, and provide data reports to NAMRU SOUTH. The contractor is responsible for all supplies, equipment, and one annual sample shipment, while NAMRU SOUTH may provide some reagents depending on funding. Performance will be evaluated on compliance, timeliness, and customer satisfaction, with monthly reports and teleconferences expected during the study period.
