The U.S. NAMRU SOUTH is planning to write a collection of review articles on different topics with the focus on infectious diseases particularly in Peru and South America. The review articles will include virology, bacteriology, entomology, parasitology, and regulated clinical trials covering a wide spectrum of research and surveillance findings in the context of disease prevalence, advanced technology for disease detection and control, antimicrobial resistance, and vaccine development. The supplement will highlight 40 years of our command’s accomplishments in fighting infectious diseases in Peru and South America.
