This proposed acquisition is for essential maintenance on the USS SANTA BARBARA (LCS-32). It covers Diesel Engine Inspection maintenance for the Number One and Number Two Main Propulsion Diesel Engines and the Number Two and Number Four Ship Service Diesel Generators. All four engines are operating above maximum hours and risk catastrophic failure if maintenance is not performed immediately. The work is urgently required to ensure the vessel’s operational readiness and safety.
