The Government intends to award a sole-source contract to The Boeing Company for the Advanced Procurement of Long Lead Items in support of the E-7A weapon system. This acquisition intends to procure Green Aircraft, Section 46 Reinforcement of Fuselage, MESA Radars, and other miscellaneous long lead parts. The procured long lead items are to support the production program planned for initiation in FY25 which will procure the Low Rate Initial Production aircraft for the E-7A fleet. A request for proposal will be issued and a proposal will be received prior to the approval of the Fiscal Year 2024 budget.
