The Defense Logistics Agency-Aberdeen, on behalf of the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM), intends to buy the Rain/snow Sensor Controller (Part number 1000206479), NSN 5985-01-691-1116. The Rain/snow Sensor Controller is a components of AN/TSC-156D. The AN/TSC-156D also known as “Phoenix terminal” is a transportable Tactical Satellite Communications Terminal (TACSAT) which operates, in Super High Frequency (SHF) Bands (C, X, Ku, and Ka), over commercial and military satellites. Requirements Description: This is a Market Survey to locate potential sources of supply for Rain/snow Sensor Controller (Part number 1000206479), NSN 5985-01-691-1116 The Government does not possess any technical data package (TDP) for these items. Sources Sought Announcement (SSA) respondents must prove their Rain/snow Sensor Controller meets the current AN/TSC-156D’s (Phoenix terminal’s) configuration base line. The following additional NAICS apply: N/A The following additional Classification Code apply: 66-- Instruments and Laboratory Equipment 59-- Electrical and Electronic Equipment Components 61-- Electric Wire, and Power and Distribution Equipment Requested Response Information: SSA respondents are required to answer all questionnaire at the “Contractor Questionnaire” section. Notice, Response Due Date, and Points of Contact: This is NOT a Request for Quote or Proposal. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this Sources sought announcement (SSA) or reimburse any costs associated with the preparation of responses to this SSA. This SSA is for planning and market research purposes only, and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government. The information gathered from this announcement will be used to determine if responsible sources exist, and to assist in determining if this effort can be competitive and/or set aside for Small Business. Furthermore, the Government will use the information, in part, to determine the best acquisition strategy for a potential procurement action and/or to assist in making acquisition strategy decisions in the future.
