Sources sought to provide the government with night vision equipment Purge Devices (NSN: 5855-01-246-6815). This device is an essential maintenance tool for the AN/PVS-14, Monocular Night Vision Device, AN/PVS-7B/D, Night Vision Goggles, and AN/AVS-6, Aviator’s Night Vision Imaging System. The Purge Device allows for the extraction of air from the Night Vision Device to be replaced with dry Nitrogen. This allows for a clean system and reduced chance of fogging the lens or attracting moisture or dirt into the system, thus contaminating it. Overall, this prevents the degradation of optical performance of these image intensifier systems. The equipment consists of a Valve, Vacuum Hose, Hand Pump, Device Housing and Tool. The Government estimates a quantity of 245 Purge Devices for purchase within the year. The Government does not possess drawings, performance specifications, or a Technical Data Package (TDP) for this item and are not available upon request. Suppliers who are capable of delivery of these items, in accordance with the information specified above should contact the government before 24 May 2021. Responses must also include documentation that contains the following: The contractor must provide information to show that they possess, or shall possess, adequate production plant facilities (equipment, tooling, and space) to enable him, or his subcontractors, to produce this item. Past Performance for these or similar items. The contractor shall submit their part numbers, NSN, or nomenclature and the date of the last manufacturing effort of the same or similar items for which they have production experience. Government contract numbers, if applicable, shall be provided. The contractor shall cite the quality standard (either Government or Industry) that shall be in place for this effort.
