The Defense Logistics Agency-Aberdeen, on behalf of the Army Integrated Logistics Supply Center (ILSC), intends to acquire OIL FILTER ADAPTOR HOUSING, NIIN 016148807 to support the MEP-952B 5kW Auxiliary Power Unit (APU). Sources that can supply the listed parts or services are requested to submit information to show their capability to supply the same or similar parts. At a minimum, information submitted should include but is not limited to the following types of documentation: Questionnaire, control drawings, and information on previous Government and commercial contracts. In your response, please include your company name, CAGE code, and a technical point of contract with email address and telephone number. The OIL FILTER ADAPTOR HOUSING is used on the Farymann 43F diesel engine that powers the MEP-952B 5kW APU. The OIL FILTER ADAPTOR HOUSING assembly contains hose fittings that allows the use of an external oil cooler. The OIL FILTER ADAPTOR HOUSING assembly also has a temperature switch fastened to the surface and wiring terminating in a plug. The APU and diesel engine operate on 24 VDC. The OIL FILTER ADAPTOR HOUSING assembly also contains a sleeve nut that allows the use of a standard oil filter. The Government does not possess the technical data package (TDP) for the parts. The TDP is not available for release. The following additional NAICS apply: 423120 NSN: 4330-01-614-8807 CAGE: 62502 Part Number 96-9352 The response must include documentation such as a copy of purchase order if the supplier was a vendor to the listed source, or a statement from listed source demonstrating that the supplier can, in fact, supply the Army with a unit from the previous supplier listed above. The response should also include production lead times, number of years part will be available, price break ranges if applicable, part number & CAGE of proposed parts, or any other information that could affect the acquisition, supply and delivery of the parts. This is NOT a Request for Quote or Proposal. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this SSA or reimburse any costs associated with the preparation of responses to this SSA. This Sources sought announcement (SSA) is for planning and market research purposes only, and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government. The information gathered from this announcement will be used to determine if responsible sources exist, and to assist in determining if this effort can be competitive and/or set aside for Small Business. Furthermore, the Government will use the information, in part, to determine the best acquisition strategy for a potential procurement action and/or to assist in making acquisition strategy decisions in the future.
