This project is for the repair and renovation of Building 532, a 112,347-sf hangar facility for aircraft maintenance located at Joint Base Charleston, Air Base, SC. The intent is to repair / upgrade a large portion of the hangar including administration areas, shop areas, hangar bays, bathrooms and office cubes A, B, C, and the refurbishment of the hangar doors. The design is to repair/upgrade major work items associated with fire suppression system & controls, the electrical systems including new power supply across North Graves Avenue, mechanical equipment & plumbing systems, HVAC systems and controls, a new roofing system, and any general interior finishes upgrades for walls, ceilings and floors. SET-ASIDE STATUS: To Be Determined as a result of this market research. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS/CONCERNS: Contract type will be Firm-Fixed Price. Capabilities are sought from Small, 8(a), Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone), and Women Owned Small Businesses (WOSB) businesses for the purposes of determining if this requirement can be set-aside. NOTE: If this requirement is set-aside, FAR 52.219-14 Limitations on Subcontracting will apply. This clause requires that the concern perform at least 15 percent (15%) of the cost of the contract, not including the cost of materials, with its own employees.
