Scope of Work: 2. Design Requirements: Provide all labor, equipment, and materials required for: the removal and disposal of 2 existing (Computer Facility Air Conditioning) CFAC units, and provide 2 new CFAC units for a complete and useable CFAC system in Building 38 SATCOM facility, at Cape Cod Air Force Station, MA. Work shall include, but not necessarily limited to: Contractor shall phase their work to ensure that one CFAC remains operational at all times. The facility shall remain in operations at all times. Provide units with the minimum salient features, and installation requirements, as listed in Attachment 1, below. Contractor shall verify all existing conditions prior to demolition, fabrication, installation, and commencement of all work to be accomplished. All trades shall coordinate their work with the work of all other trades. Contractor shall provide and submit a work schedule, to be approved by the Contracting Officer and assigned Project Manager. All on-site work shall be in accordance with the approved schedule. Sequence on-site work to minimize disruptions (e.g. noise, dust, odors, etc.) to the normal operation of the tenants. Provide barricades, temporary barriers, etc. as required to separate the area from the tenant’s work areas and provide safe working conditions, for both. These specifications describe requirements for a Thermal Management system. The system shall be designed to control temperature and humidity conditions in rooms containing electronic equipment, with good insulation and vapor barrier. The manufacturer shall design and furnish all equipment to be fully compatible with heat-dissipation requirements of the room. a) Units shall meet the following design parameters, and all salient features, as listed herein. b) Fan: Forward Curved Blower, 10 HP, Variable Speed, 1750 rpm, c) Nominal Cooling Capacity: 84 kW / 25 ton d) Chilled Water Coil: 6 Row, 25 SF Face Area e) Hot Water Reheat Nominal Capacity: 125,200 BTU/HR, 8 GPM, 1.6 PSI Pressure Drop f) Infrared Humidifier Nominal Capacity: 22.1 lb/hr g) Voltage: 460V - 3ph - 60 Hz h) Nominal Cabinet Dimensions: 99 inches wide, 35 inches deep, 72 inches highNominal Plenum Dimensions: 99 inches wide, 34 inches deep, 9 inches high The Thermal Management system shall be a factory-assembled unit. Standard 60 Hz units shall be CSA-certified to the harmonized U.S. and Canadian product safety standard, "CSA C22.2 No 236/UL 1995 for Heating and Cooling Equipment" and are marked with the CSA c-us logo. The system performance shall be AHRI Certified™, the trusted mark of performance assurance for heating, ventilation, air conditioning and commercial refrigeration equipment, using AHRI Standard 1360. The cabinet shall be designed so that all components are easily accessible for service and maintenance through the unit's side and front. The specified system shall be factory-tested before shipment. Testing shall include, but shall not be limited to: Quality Control Checks, “Hi-Pot.” The system shall be designed and manufactured according to world-class quality standards. The manufacturer shall be ISO 9001 certified.
