RF Architectures Applying Photonic Timing and Routing (RAAPTR)
DARPA is soliciting innovative proposals for the RAAPTR program to develop RF system architectures that maintain optical timing precision in rugged, compact forms for mobile land, air, and space defense platforms. The focus is on vibration-hardened photonic oscillators, low phase noise analog and mixed-signal components, and advanced subsystem architectures for defense applications. Research that advances non-optical microwave generation or merely improves existing methods is excluded. Additional program details are provided in a Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) addendum, with instructions for requesting it included in Attachment A.
