The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) is soliciting proposals for Space-Based Adaptive Communications Node (Space-BACN) Technical Area (TA) 3: Cross-Constellation Communications Command and Control. Contributors will help DARPA determine how commercial communications constellations will interact with DoD systems in a space-to-space interconnected future. DARPA seeks technical contribution from industry in the following technical areas: space Cross-Constellation Communications Command and Control, application programming interface (API) and algorithm development, and simulation and experimentation support to inform deployment and utilization of Space-BACN reconfigurable optical communications terminals with DoD and commercial satellite constellations. Proposed research should investigate innovative approaches that enable revolutionary advances in science, devices, or systems.
