The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is offering a lump-sum standing timber sale on approximately 55 acres within one block at Ethan Allen Firing Range Installation in Chittenden County, Vermont. The harvest includes species such as sugar maple (62 MBF), white ash (34 MBF), red maple (18 MBF), paper birch (5 MBF), yellow birch (3 MBF), red oak (2 MBF), plus 324 cords of firewood and 1,540 tons of chipwood. Harvest operations must be completed by 31 March 2027, with all processing, hauling, and site rehabilitation finished by 15 July 2027; note that tree cutting is prohibited from 1 April to 29 November and access is restricted from 3 March to 8 March. An inspection is scheduled for Friday, August 14, 2026, at 9:00 a.m., with additional dates possible. Bidders must submit a certified funds deposit of 20% of the total bid amount with their sealed bid, and the full balance is due before timber removal begins.
