The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is offering for sale one (1) item of standing timber on approximately 22 acres within three (3) separate blocks at United States Military Academy, West Point, NY, 10996 of which approximately the following volumes to be harvested: The sales are sold per Item by unit, harvested timber will be sold per unit (MBF) scaled at receiving sawmill. Item 1 - TIMBER ON 3 BLOCK (22 ACRES) NORTHERN RED OAK – 49.73 MBF YELLOW POPLAR – 13.93 MBF SUGAR MAPLE (Hard) – 6.39 MBF CHESTNUT OAK – 5.62 MBF BLACK BIRCH – 0.76 MBF HICKORY – 0.52 MBF RED MAPLE – 0.06 MBF OPTIONAL BID ITEMS MIXED HARDWOOD FUELWOOD/PULPWOOD – 19 CORDS MIXED HARDWOOD PALLET – 15 MBF Contract Period of Performance: Contract terminates May 6, 2022 ITEM 1 (AREA Q, N, & I) – Harvest Operation Dates 1 November 2021 – 6 May 2022. ALL tree felling SHALL be complete prior to 31 March 2022 •Area Q – 7.2 acres SHALL be harvested by 31 March 2022. Contractor may skid up to 6 May 2022. •Area N – 6.1 acres SHALL be harvested by 31 March 2022. Contractor may skid up to 6 May 2022. •Area I – 8.6 acres SHALL be harvested by 31 March 2022. Contractor may skid up to 6 May 2022. INSPECTION INVITED ON TUESDAY 24 August and MONDAY 30 August 2021 BEGINNING AT 10:00 a.m EACH MORNING. FOR ACCESS TO HARVEST AREAS ARRANGE IN ADVANCE. Sealed bids will be accepted until 2:00 p.m. THURSDAY 9 September 2021 by the Acquisition, Management, and Disposal Branch, Real Estate Office, 803 Front Street, Norfolk, VA, and then opened publicly.
