The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) intends to use a justification and approval (J&A) for other than full and open competition for two succeeding leases that total approximately 24.7 acres of land for the operation of a Float Bridge Training Area by Fort AP Hill. Both of these leases provide Fort AP Hill the opportunity to access the Rappahannock River at Hick’s Landing for training purposes. The Rappahannock River provides the environment for watercraft training that cannot be duplicated at Fort AP Hill. The J&A will authorize these leases in support of the watercraft training at Fort AP Hill.
