The Naval Air Systems Command, in support of PMA-261 CH-53 Heavy Lift Helicopters Program Office, intends to solicit a contract for negotiation with General Electric- Aviation, 1000 Western Avenue, Lynn Massachusetts 01910 on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, to conduct the Proof of Concept testing for the hardening of engine FADEC against cyber threats. The intended contract will be issued as a Delivery Order under the Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-16-G-0005. THIS SOURCES SOUGHT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. It is a market research tool being used to determine the potential and eligible businesses capable of providing the supplies/services described herein prior to determining the method of acquisition and issuance of a Request for Proposal. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any additional information received from potential sources as a result of this announcement.
