This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items issued by the Air Force Research Laboratory/PZLEQ, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation being issued for the requirement described herein. Please see attached solicitation document for additional details. Solicitation Number: COMBO-AFRL-PZLEQ-2021-0013 Requirement: 10,000 Feet of 600 MCM XHHW Copper Wire in 1,000 ft reels Additional Information: XHHW uses cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) high heat-resistant and water resistant insulation. XHHW insulated copper wires will be used for alternating current at 600V. UL Standard 44 has XHHW insulation used in dry locations up to 90C (194F) or wet location up to 75C (167F). XHHW must have a jacket coating resistant to chemicals and abrasions. It shall be suitable for cable tray or conduits, per NEC.
