Q&A 1. Z Axis travel of 12”-what is application requiring this length of stroke? A lot of what we cut is thick/thin metal need the travel distance to give us options. 2. What type of material support bed is required? Water or Downdraft Water 3. What type of system is needed? Floor mounted Rail and Gantry or Unitized Rail And Gantry 4. What are the terms for Onsite Installation? And training? Q: What capacity will you be requiring? (X,Y) A: 6x12 to handle all metal sheets that we receive Q: What material will you be cutting (i.e. stainless, mild etc.)? A: Mild, SS, Aluminum, Q: Will you need pipe cutting? A: No for Pipe Q: 5 Axis bevel head? A: No for 5th Axis Q: Will you be cutting thicker materials, use of an oxy torch? A: Yes, we will need the oxy rig for thicker material Q: Are you looking for a standard plasma table or a high definition plasma table? It appears to be a high def. A: Whatever meets or exceeds the minimum specifications being asked. Q: We need to know if you know the amperage of the power source you need, or if you are unsure of that, then the maximum thickness of the stainless steel you are cutting. A: 1” stainless Q: What is the thickness of all metals to be plasma cut? ie. 3” MS, ¼” AL, 5/8” SS A: 5” Mild steel, 3” AL, 1” SS Q: What power is available for the plasma? ie. 280v Single phase, 480v 3 phase A: We have both 240 and 480 3 phase power in the shop. UPDATE: The bid has been extended until 5 Aug at 11AM to provide everyone with ample time to formulate their quotes.
