This is a sources sought notice. DLA Land and Maritime is considering a future solicitation(s), and subsequent award, of an Indefinite Quantity Contract (IQC/LTC) for the item(s) listed in the attached market research spreadsheet. The resultant IQC/LTC could potentially range from 3 to 5 years in length. This acquisition is for supplies for which the Government does not possess complete unrestrictive technical data; therefore, the Government intends to solicit and contract with only approved sources under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Approved source is DRS NAVAL POWER SYSTEMS, INC (27192). Please provide any adddtional sources that may be able to manufacture these items. Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. Interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government’s requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. In order to make a commercial determination, we would need sufficient documentation to support commerciality. Types of commercial documentation: Un-redacted commercial sales history (i.e. invoices documenting sales to commercial customers) Of-a-Type items- sufficient technical documentation to demonstrate / show: -Direct traceability from modified item to item that meets definition part 1 or 2 -Integrated production line, little differentiation between commercial & Gov’t items. -Similar characteristic and manufacturing process for Gov’t unique item & comparable commercial items -Need to explain if minor or major modification
