The Defense Logistics Agency is conducting market research to identify other companies capable of manufacturing or obtaining 149 specific NSNs, for which Boeing is currently the only approved source. This is not a solicitation or a request for offers, and no funds are available for response preparation. To be considered as an approved source, companies must submit a Source Approval Request (SAR) package demonstrating their ability to manufacture the items to the required quality. SAR packages must be submitted via a DoDSafe link, initiated by sending a request to a specified email address. Items determined not to be sole source will not be considered for future procurement under this effort.
