The Naval Air System Command awarded a modification to Contract N00019-19-G-0029-N00019-19-F-2972 with Sikorsky Aircraft Corp., a Lockheed Martin Co., Stratford, Connecticut, to provide non-recurring engineering, to include investigations, systems engineering support, risk analysis and integration development in support of the CH-53K Data Transfer Unit and Defensive Electronic Countermeasure System Replacement Phase III, to replace existing subsystems within the CH-53K production aircraft. This procurement was procured in accordance with the statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition under 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1(a)(2), in that Sikorsky is the only known source possessing the requisite knowledge, technical expertise, special skills, technical data, facilities, and experience to provide the logistics support on the CH-53K. Place of Contract Performance: Patuxent River, Maryland (54.5%); Stratford, Connecticut (28.5%); Cedar Rapids, Iowa (11.5%); Fort Worth, Texas (4.5%); and Vergennes, Vermont (1.0%).
