This is a synopsis notice for a potential future competitive solicitation for a Mid-Term Availability ship repair of the USNS CESAR CHAVEZ, tentatively scheduled for the end of calendar year 2026. The ship repair work must be performed at a contractor shipyard within the Seventh Fleet Area of Responsibility. Interested ship repair firms must submit a capability statement of five pages or less via email to a specified Contract Specialist. Responses are due within 15 calendar days after the issue date of this synopsis. To be eligible, a firm must have an active SAM.gov registration and be authorized to do business in the country of performance.
