The CCSS provides mission-essential, critical secure and non-secure voice services to the National Command Authority (NCA), DOD, various federal agencies, and foreign allies. The Red and Black Switches (six DSS-2As) supporting the USSTRATCOM GOC provide the ability to convene and manage our nation's most critical national level secure/ non-secure voice conferencing requirements. These conferences support the entire spectrum of USSTRATCOM mission assignments and may be convened at any time to support the nation's most senior leaders during times of national emergencies and crises involving USSTRATCOM assets worldwide.
