Baggage Scanner Maintenance: This is a sources sought announcement only. This is NOT a solicitation, but market research to determine potential sources for conducting annual maintenance IAW manufacturer specifications. Conduct annual manufacturer specified maintenance on one (1) ea Smiths Detection model - HI-SCAN 130130T-2is (larger and designed to handle heavy freight and Euro pallets). First maintenance visit would begin immediately upon contract award. This X-ray inspection system would require annual calibration and inspections of all components of the unit. Ensure the latest software updates are installed and up to date. Conduct annual manufacturer specified maintenance on two (2) ea Rapiscan, model - 920CI, (which provides the capability to scan personal bags and items). Due to existing manufacturer warranty on these items, the first maintenance visit for these items is anticipated early in the year 2025. For follow on contract option years, the awarded contractor can consolidate maintenance visits to service these 2 Rapiscan models along with the 1 Smiths Detection model. Contractor would need to provide manufacturer specified preventative maintenance to the baggage scanners such as radiation surveys, lead curtains, wheels, panels, x-ray light, roller beds, labels, conveyor belt, monitor, cables, HVPS (high voltage power supply), emergency stop, functions via keyboard, and blower vac. Further, we are not currently seeking proposals; therefore, DO NOT request a copy of a solicitation or submit a proposal as a result of this notice. Responders are advised the Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to these sources sought and that all submissions become Government property and will not be returned. All costs associated with responding to these sources sought will be solely at the responding party's expense. Not responding to these sources sought does not preclude participation in any future solicitation, should one be issued. Responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. No basis for claim against the Government shall arise from a response to the notice. It is the responsibility of the interested parties to monitor the FedBizOpps website for additional information pertaining to these sources sought. RESPONSE INFORMATION: Responses to this Sources Sought Notice must be received no later than 12:00 PM EST, on November 28, 2023. All interested parties must provide a response containing a written capabilities statement, confirming they can comply with the government needs, as specified above.
