BACKGROUND "Surveillance and Characterization of the Molecular Resistance Factors of Bacterial Pathogens in USSOUTHCOM AOR" The aims of this study will enable US DoD to obtain information about antibiotic resistance in pathogens circulating in the USSOUTHCOM AOR and to take actions to provide optimal force health protection and treatment guidelines for physicians attending to military personnel returning from this region. B. OBJECTIVES Describe the purpose of these supplies and how these will be implemented on the project or protocol. Label the general desired outcomes of your new requirement. a. Establish a passive bio-surveillance network for AMR bacterial pathogens in USSOUTHCOM AOR. b. Identify emerging resistance trends in AMR bacterial pathogens in USSOUTHCOM AOR. c. Characterize the genotypic and phenotypic features of AMR bacterial pathogens in USSOUTHCOM AOR. d. Establish a strain collection of AMR bacterial pathogens in USSOUTHCOM AOR that are available to additional research efforts.
