The U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), Technology Application Contracting Office (TAKO) anticipates contracting with Collins Aerospace, Inc. 400 Collins Rd NE Cedar Rapids IA 52498 to repair Multi-Function Displays (MFDs) on several U.S. Special Operations Aircraft to include P/N 268C3A. The intended award will result in a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) purchase order. The intended contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.501, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Government does not possess and cannot furnish the technical data required to develop engineering descriptions, technical data packages, or specifications necessary to permit full and open competition. Firms that feel they can provide this service are encouraged to identify themselves. This notice of intent is not a request for a competitive proposal, however, the Government will consider all proposals received by the specified due date. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition is solely within the discretion of the Government. The requirement will be released as a commercial requirement under FAR Part 12.
