06/29/2022 The purpose of this notice is to publicly synopsize a requirement for the Construct Cross Connect Chiller Plants based on the following scope: The scope of work includes constructing a cross connect between the piping of the two chilled water plants allowing for the entire building to be served by one of the two chilled water plants. Chilled water must continue to be provided to the data centers in the building throughout the construction of this project. Connect the secondary piping loops of the two chiller plants located in rooms G-023 and 1-040. The pipe routing would be through the ceiling space of computer room 1-058 on the first floor and then through the Warehouse 1-028. In Computer room 1-058 the ceiling area along the pipe route will be lowered to accommodate the pipe installation. The work shall include miscellaneous mechanical, electrical, controls, structural, and architectural work as required. Work under this contract will occur in secure areas and shall comply with the requirements of paragraph 1.12 SECURITY of the specification section 01 01 11. The work shall be performed by an experienced mechanical pipe fitting contractor with expertise in constructing a cross connect between the piping of two chilled water plants. This effort shall be set aside for small business under NAICS code 238220 – Plumbing, heating, and A/C contractors. The contract performance period shall be 120 calendar days. Once notice to proceed is issued, the first 30 days is offsite performance. This time is set aside for the preparation of submittals, Government review of submittals and ordering materials and equipment. The approximate cost of the project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The work is located at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency facilities at 3838 Vogel Rd in Arnold, MO. The Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be posted on or about July 15, 2022.
