The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) intends to award a sole source firm-fixed-price contract to PORTABLE TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS LLC, 221 David CT, Calverton, New York 11933-3053, for continued maintenance agreement for NGA’s Portable Technology Solutions (PTS) Total Asset Management (TAM) Barcode Scanner, under the authority of FAR 13.106-1 and utilizing FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, procedures in conjunction with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The procurement is for the continued maintenance agreement for NGA’s PTS TAM barcode scanners used in the execution of the Security & Installations Asset Management Operations (SIOPO), Asset Management Operations functions at NGA Campus East (NCE) and NGA Campus West (NCW). This effort will provide NGA with proper maintenance support and is necessary to ensure this equipment is kept in optimal operational condition and available for mission needs. NGA believes PORTABLE TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS LLC is the only source reasonably available to satisfy this requirement. PORTABLE TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS LLC possesses the proprietary information to provide the maintenance on the equipment. No competition is being sought. The period of performance will be for 12-months after contract award with four (4) additional 12-month option periods, for a total of 60-months. This is a synopsis prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.2, Synopses of Proposed Contract Actions. A solicitation will not be posted. However, any entity that believes it can meet this requirement may give written notification no later than the stated response date. Supporting evidence must be in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government to compete the proposed procurement based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
