The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this notice is 611310 – Colleges, Universities and Professional Schools, Size Standard $30,000,000.00, Product Service Code U099 – EDUCATION/TRAINING - OTHER. NAVSUP FLC Philadelphia intends to solicit on other than full and open competition basis for Reference Support Library Services as an 8(a) sole source for the National Defense University (NDU). The requirement is for providing support in reference and instruction; metadata and digital content management; archives and technical services support; and systems support. The reference and instruction will include the creation of Web content to help library users. The digital content management support will include the analysis of digital content management systems to understand which are best for the NDU environment. The library support contract will enable the libraries to provide reference and instructions services as well as preserve and make accessible important digital collections. The archives and technical services support will provide access to the library’s special and archival collections. The systems support will enable access to the library’s electronic and digital resources. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. Please also see attached PWS for more specifics. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the government will consider all proposals received within seven days after the date of publication of this request for information - RFI. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed procurement action based on the responses received is solely with the discretion of the Government. The Government will not pay for information received. Standard brochures and/or paraphrasing of the contents of this announcement will not be sufficient to demonstrate the capabilities of an interested party.
