The Naval Air Systems Command is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) as part of a market survey to obtain technical and program related information useful to support a material solution analysis and acquisition strategy refinement for an enhanced countermeasures dispensing capability for the AN/ALE-47 utilizing square countermeasure expendables on all USN/USMC tactical, assault and support aircraft. The Government seeks information on concepts for an AN/ALE-47 upgrade and the maturity of associated technologies. The information will be used for initial planning and cost estimation for the upgrade program and for potential design approaches as well as assessing opportunities for technology demonstrations. Potential development and delivery schedules are critical and a rapid acquisition strategy may be employed. AN/ALE-47 upgrade areas of interest include the Programmer, Sequencer, DoN Dispenser Housing, Magazine and Support Equipment. Specific information requested is cited in the attached document.
