03 June 2020 MEMORANDUM FOR 11CONS/CC FROM: 11 CONS/PKA 1349 Lutman Drive Joint Base Andrews, MD 20762 SUBJECT: Synopsis – Solicitation Document (AJXF-15-1563) PURPOSE: This memorandum is to document actions taken to conduct a synopsis for the renovation of the HVAC systems and Dry Pipe Sprinkler System, Building 1900 at Joint Base Andrews, Maryland 20762. The Independent Government Estimate for this requirement is $768,014.00. 2. BACKGROUND: The 11th Contracting Squadron located on Joint Base Andrews (JBA), MD intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) contract for the renovation of the HVAC systems and Dry Pipe Sprinkler System, Building 1900 at Joint Base Andrews, Maryland 20762. This acquisition will be accomplished in accordance with FAR Part 15 - Contracting by Negotiation, and FAR Part 36 - Construction and Architect-Engineer Contracts. The Contractor is expected to provide all engineering, labor, equipment, supervision, and effort necessary to renovate the HVAC systems and Dry Pipe Sprinkler System, Building 1900 in accordance with the current Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC), Statement of Work, specifications, and applicable clauses. The Period of Performance is 64 calendar days. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 236220. Product Service Code (PSC) is Y1JZ. The Business Size Standard is $36.5M. It is anticipated the solicitation will be issued electronically on or about 24 June 2020 on the Beta Sam Contract Opportunities web page at https://beta.sam.gov with an anticipated closing date for proposals 30 calendar days later. There is no cost to use Beta Sam and no cost for Government-provided documents associated with this synopsis or anticipated solicitation. Paper copies will not be issued. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates or amendments to any and all documents. In accordance with FAR 6.206, this action is 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) concerns. Any prospective Contractor must have a Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) Code and be registered in System for Award Management (SAM) in order to be eligible for award.
