The Department of the Air Force, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), Mobility and Training Aircraft, Requirements and Integration Division, Wright Patterson Air Force Base, OH, is seeking to identify vendors who have existing capability to produce highly reliable aircraft wire harnesses for military aircraft via automated or semi-automated process. This will be used for market research purposes only. Vendors are requested to provide information regarding capability to protect government provided aircraft wire harness drawings from unauthorized access and to securely store all automated programing files and data to prevent unauthorized access. Vendor wire harness manufacturing process must be able to demonstrate the above as well demonstrate automated/semi-automated production and integrated testing during the manufacturing process to detect and correct faults prior to completion of the harness. Vendors are asked to provide information regarding how their process leverages current state of the art industry technology and to provide evidence of their production automated/semi-automated capability. As part of this Sources Sought Synopsis (SSS), vendor manufacturing technology and associated data protection capabilities must be able to be demonstrated to the government upon request, to verify level of production readiness to produce cable harnesses for operational military aircraft and commercial derivatives. Vendors should pay close attention to information requested in paragraph 3.b. of the attached sources sought.
