The requirement is to award a contract for Eaton Uninterrupted Power Source (UPS) Unit Flexible Service Plan and Preventative Maintenance Service Plan. NAVFAC currently owns and maintains an Eaton Uninterrupted Power Source (UPS) unit which provides a reliable and comprehensive option in the backup power protection and power management. The Flexible Service Plan and Preventative Maintenance Service Plan provides access to rapid emergency response from Eaton-trained technicians, local field technicians with van-stocked, required, factory-certified parts, access to technical support and design engineering resources during power escalation. Only authorized sellers of the Eaton Flexible Service Plan can fulfill this contract. The only way to increase competition further is to replace the UPS, which is cost prohibitive. The original vendor requires this specific plan in order to avoid any prevent warranty voids.
