The purpose of the contract consists of constructing a consolidated communications center (approximately 80,000 SF) utilizing economical design and construction methods to accommodate the mission of the facility. Construction includes a concrete foundation, structural steel frame and standing seam metal roof as well as communications support, environmental controls, pavements, parking area, exterior lighting, landscaping, and all other supports necessary to make a complete and useable facility. The project includes demolition of two facilities totaling 100,000 square feet and two 25,000-gallon fuel tanks and associated piping. Facilities shall be constructed to meet DoD, Air Force and base design standards.
