The U.S. Army Contracting Command – Detroit Arsenal, MI (ACC-DTA) has an existing requirement to provide the Combat Capabilities Development Command Ground Vehicle Systems Center (CCDC GVSC) with continued in support of Tank-automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM) Life Cycle Management Command (LCMC) military vehicle research, development, acquisition, and life cycle management missions. ACC-DTA intends to award a modification to the existing contract, W56HZV-18-C-L405, with Phillips Corporation, CAGE code 3MPQ0, to extend the last ordering period on the base contract by 6 months, to 23 October 2024, as prescribed in FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii)(B). This extension is necessary to accommodate the acquisition lead-time to transition the preventive maintenance, calibration, and repair of the Bystronic Lasers, LNS, Barcorp, and EBBCO machinery, which is a portion of the GVSC PIF machinery, to a competitive procurement that is currently in the pre-planning phase. This is not a request for proposal, nor is it a request seeking offerors to be placed on a solicitation mailing list. This is a notice of intent, not a request for competitive proposals or solicitation of offerors and is in no way binding the Government.
